Darcy Nox ran away from home about a month before she turned seventeen. She spent about a year simply surviving. She did
Tarot readings for money and food, offered her services as exorcist and house-cleanser, and basically survived through a combnation
of ritual, thievery and luck.
She eventually found friends and a new family, of sorts, in the gothic scene in downtown New York. The most popular in
this group, the elites, formed a gothic band called Bloodlust. After Darcy had been hanging out with them for a few months,
group politics threatened to tear the band apart, and the singer / songwriter left the group. Darcy took her place.
On Darcy's 18th birthday, she and her friends went to a club. Darcy was dancing to the music, when she suddenly felt
a powerful rush within herself, and saw black wings spreading. She would have fallen if the club hadn't been so packed.
Her friends took her back to their hangout, and her best friend, Thorn, took her to a semi-private spot, to explain to
Darcy that she had just Awoken.
Since her Awakening, Darcy has been closer than ever to the other elites, the members of Bloodlust, who are all Mages.
She's spent most of the year after her Awakening studying Magick.

Thorn: Darcy's "older sister" and best friend; the leader and stable foundation of the clique; she's the bass player
of Bloodlust
Poe: lead guitarist and back-up vocals of Bloodlust; also, she's the emotional foundation and empath of the clique
Rayne: back-up guitarist of Bloodlust; she also books their shows; she acts as the voice of the clique, and the networker
Belial: drummer of Bloodlust; he's also the occultist expert of the clique
Darcy: lead singer, songwriter, keyboards
